Soyabean Sabzi Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup soybeans
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
2 green chilies, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
Salt to taste
Chopped coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
Soak soybeans in water overnight or for at least 4-5 hours.
Drain the water and pressure cook the soybeans with enough water and salt for 2-3 whistles or until they are cooked.
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
Add chopped onions, ginger-garlic paste, and green chilies. Sauté till the onions turn golden brown.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.
Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute.
Add the cooked soybeans to the pan and mix well.
Cover the pan and let it cook on low heat for 5-7 minutes or until the soybeans are coated with the spices.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.
