Basundi Recipe

Ingredients:
1 liter full-fat milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
A pinch of saffron
2 tablespoons chopped almonds
2 tablespoons chopped pistachios
Instructions:

In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat the milk and bring it to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer the milk for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring occasionally to prevent the milk from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

Add sugar and stir until it dissolves completely.

Add cardamom powder, saffron, chopped almonds, and chopped pistachios and mix well.

Continue to simmer the milk for another 10-15 minutes until it thickens and reduces to a creamy consistency.

Turn off the heat and let the Basundi cool down to room temperature.

Transfer the Basundi to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped nuts.

Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
