Mint Chutney Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup fresh mint leaves
1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves
1 green chili, chopped (optional)
1/2 inch piece of ginger, peeled and chopped
1 garlic clove, chopped
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp sugar
Salt to taste
3-4 tbsp water
Instructions:
Rinse the mint and cilantro leaves and roughly chop them.
In a blender or food processor, combine the chopped mint leaves, cilantro leaves, green chili (if using), ginger, garlic, lemon juice, sugar, salt, and water.
Blend the ingredients until they form a smooth paste. Add more water if needed to reach your desired consistency.
Taste the chutney and adjust the seasoning as necessary. You can add more salt, sugar, or lemon juice to your liking.
Transfer the mint chutney to a serving bowl or container and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
