Aloo Paratha Recipe
Aloo Paratha Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon oil
1 cup water
2 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1-2 green chilies, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
Salt to taste
Oil or ghee for frying
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, salt, and oil. Add water slowly and knead the dough until smooth. Cover the dough and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
In another bowl, mix mashed potatoes, ginger, green chilies, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt to taste. Mix well.
Divide the dough into equal-sized balls. Take one ball and roll it out into a small disc. Place a tablespoon of the potato mixture in the center and bring the edges of the dough together to enclose the filling.
Flatten the ball slightly and dust it with flour. Roll it out into a round disc, making sure that the filling doesn't come out.
Heat a griddle or non-stick pan over medium heat. Place the paratha on the pan and cook for a minute or two. Drizzle oil or ghee on the paratha and flip it over. Cook for another minute or two, until both sides are golden brown.
Repeat the process with the remaining dough and potato mixture. Serve hot with yogurt, pickle, or any chutney of your choice.
Enjoy your delicious homemade Aloo Parathas!
