French Toast Recipe


Ingredients:


4 large eggs

1/2 cup whole milk

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

1/4 tsp salt

1 tbsp granulated sugar

8 slices of bread

2 tbsp butter

Maple syrup and powdered sugar for serving

Instructions:


In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and sugar until well combined.

Dip each slice of bread in the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides.

Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the butter has melted and is sizzling, place a few slices of bread in the skillet and cook until golden brown, flipping once, for about 2-3 minutes per side. Repeat with the remaining slices of bread.

Serve the French toast hot with a drizzle of maple syrup and a sprinkle of powdered sugar on top.
