Poha Cutlet Recipe
Poha Cutlet Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups thick poha
1 large potato, boiled and mashed
1/2 cup finely chopped mixed vegetables (carrots, beans, peas, etc.)
1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
1/2 teaspoon garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
Salt to taste
Oil for shallow frying
Instructions:
Rinse the poha in a strainer under running water until it softens. Do not soak the poha for too long, as it will become mushy.
In a mixing bowl, add the mashed potato, chopped vegetables, ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix everything well.
Add the rinsed poha to the mixing bowl and mix it with the potato-vegetable mixture. The poha will absorb the moisture from the mixture and become soft and pliable.
Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into a cutlet. Repeat the process with the remaining mixture.
Heat oil in a frying pan on medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the cutlets to the pan and shallow fry them until they turn golden brown on both sides.
Remove the cutlets from the pan and place them on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
Serve hot with your favorite chutney or sauce.
Enjoy your delicious poha cutlets as a snack or appetizer!
