Coconut Ladoo 


Ingredients:

2 cups desiccated coconut

1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)

1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder

1 tablespoon ghee (clarified butter)

1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:


Heat a non-stick pan on medium heat and add ghee. Once melted, add the desiccated coconut and roast it for about 5-7 minutes until it turns light brown.


Next, add the sweetened condensed milk and cardamom powder to the pan. Mix everything well and continue cooking on low heat for another 5-7 minutes.


The mixture will start to come together and form a thick dough-like consistency. Remove the pan from heat.


Let the mixture cool down for a few minutes until it's easy to handle. Grease your palms with a little ghee and take a small amount of the mixture and shape it into a ball.


Roll each ladoo ball in chopped nuts (optional) and place them on a plate.


Allow the coconut ladoos to cool down completely and store them in an airtight container. They can be stored at room temperature for up to a week.
