Kala Chicken Recipe
Kala Chicken
Ingredients:
1 pound boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to your spice preference)
Salt, to taste
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves, for garnish
Instructions:
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and sauté until they are golden brown.
Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another minute.
Add the cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute or two until the spices are fragrant.
Add the tomato paste and water. Mix well and bring the mixture to a boil.
Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and mix well so that the chicken is coated in the masala sauce. Lower the heat and cover the skillet with a lid.
Cook the chicken for about 20 minutes or until it is fully cooked, stirring occasionally.
Once the chicken is fully cooked, remove the lid and let the sauce thicken for a few minutes.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
