Paneer Bhurji Sandwich Recipe
Ingredients:
200 grams paneer (Indian cottage cheese), crumbled
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tomato, finely chopped
1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)
1/2 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons oil
8 bread slices
Butter, for spreading
Instructions:
Heat oil in a pan or skillet over medium heat.
Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chili (if using), and sauté for another minute.
Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.
Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute.
Crumble the paneer and add it to the pan. Mix everything together until well combined. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the paneer is heated through.
Remove the pan from heat and let the paneer bhurji mixture cool down slightly.
Take a bread slice and spread butter on one side. Place a generous amount of the paneer bhurji mixture on top.
Cover with another bread slice, buttered side facing up.
Repeat the process with the remaining bread slices and paneer bhurji mixture.
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the prepared sandwiches on the skillet and cook until the bread turns golden brown and crispy on both sides, flipping them midway.
Once the sandwiches are cooked, remove them from the skillet and cut them diagonally into halves or quarters.
Serve the Paneer Bhurji Sandwich hot with ketchup or chutney.
Enjoy your delicious Paneer Bhurji Sandwich!
