Paneer Cheese Sandwich Recipe
Paneer Cheese Sandwich
Ingredients:
200 grams paneer (Indian cottage cheese), crumbled
1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped
1 medium-sized tomato, finely chopped
1 small capsicum (bell pepper), finely chopped
2 green chilies, finely chopped (adjust according to your spice preference)
1/2 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
Salt to taste
4-6 slices of bread
Butter or ghee for toasting
Tomato ketchup or chutney for serving
Instructions:
Heat some oil in a pan or skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies to the pan. Sauté for another minute until the raw smell disappears.
Add the finely chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.
Now add the chopped capsicum and cook for a couple of minutes until they are slightly tender.
Add the crumbled paneer to the pan and mix well with the other ingredients.
Sprinkle the cumin powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, and salt over the paneer mixture. Stir everything together to combine the flavors. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the paneer is cooked through and the spices are well incorporated.
Remove the pan from heat and let the paneer mixture cool slightly.
Take a slice of bread and spread a generous amount of the paneer mixture on one side. Place another slice of bread on top to make a sandwich.
Heat a griddle or a non-stick pan over medium heat. Spread some butter or ghee on the pan.
Place the prepared sandwich on the heated pan and toast it on both sides until it turns golden brown and crisp.
Repeat the process for the remaining sandwiches.
Once the sandwiches are ready, remove them from the pan and cut them diagonally or into desired shapes.
Serve the paneer cheese sandwiches hot with tomato ketchup or chutney of your choice.
Enjoy your delicious paneer cheese sandwiches!
