Til Ladoo Recipe
Til Ladoo
Ingredients:
2 cups white sesame seeds
1 cup grated jaggery
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
1 tablespoon ghee (clarified butter)
Directions:
Dry roast the sesame seeds on medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until they turn light brown. Remove them from heat and keep aside.
In a pan, heat the jaggery and water on medium heat until the jaggery dissolves completely. Strain the mixture to remove impurities.
Add the jaggery syrup to the same pan and cook on low heat until it thickens. To test if it's ready, drop a little bit of the mixture into a bowl of cold water. If it forms a ball, it's ready.
Add the roasted sesame seeds, cardamom powder, and ghee to the pan. Mix everything well and continue cooking on low heat for another 2-3 minutes.
Remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool down for a few minutes until it's easy to handle.
Grease your palms with a little ghee and take a small amount of the mixture and shape it into a ball.
Allow the Til Ladoos to cool down completely and store them in an airtight container. They can be stored at room temperature for up to a week.
Enjoy your homemade Til Ladoos!
