 Apple Puff Recipe without Oven

Ingredients:

2 large apples, peeled, cored, and diced

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

1 egg, beaten

Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions:

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft and the sugar has melted, about 8-10 minutes. Stir in the vanilla extract and set aside to cool.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet into a rectangle about 1/4 inch (0.6 cm) thick. Cut the pastry into 9 equal squares.

Spoon a tablespoon of the cooled apple mixture into the center of each square. Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg. Fold the pastry over the apple filling, pressing the edges together to seal.

Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Place the apple puffs onto the frying pan, seam side down. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.

Cover the frying pan with a lid and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the bottoms of the puffs are golden brown. Then flip the puffs over, brush with egg wash and cook for another 8-10 minutes or until the other side is golden brown and puffed up.

Remove from the heat and let cool for a few minutes. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Enjoy your delicious Apple Puffs made without an oven!
